The Weekend

This weekend we bought a sweet house plant at Portland Nursery and named him Lou.  Jeremy said the house plant had to be a boy because the baby is a girl.

We walked around the baby section at Target and realized we know nothing about what to buy a child.  I did get a couple of clearance outfits though because they were too cute and too cheap to pass up.
We played a super long game of Rail Baron while our dogs entertained our visitor.  She is a Rhodesian Ridgeback.  Definitely the largest dog we have ever had on our couch.
I tried to talk Jeremy into buying new living room furniture.  He is still not convinced.  I can't blame him.  It is a lot of money.

I visited with a friend while Jeremy helped her husband do electrical work.  They are moving to California and it's pretty cool for them, but kind of lame for us.

That was the weekend in a nutshell.

  1. aw that dress is adorable! :)

  2. it's hard knowing what to get for your first baby, I did Cassie's (my co-blogger) registry for her since she had no clue where to start

  3. I love that you gave your new house plant a name... maybe that way I would have better luck at keeping them alive! I can't seem to convince Russ to let me buy new furniture either. I love that dress and would love to give you some ideas for your registry too!

  4. Greg would love it if we had a Rhodesian Ridgeback cozied up on our couch! They definitely are much bigger dogs than Roxy and Syd though :) And that dress is darling, glad you didn't pass it up!

  5. Love the dress, Maleah picked out a bambi onesie for your little lady yesterday.
That is a really cute dog glad Rox and Syd were able to have some company.

  6. That dress is just precious, I almost got it for Olivia, but we bought the big pink one!!

  7. That little dress is precious, but I'm pretty sure anything baby-sized is cute!
And I know all too well about how much furniture costs being in the process of buying our first home that is approximately four times larger than our current apartment. Craigslist is gonna be my best friend for the next year!

  8. The dress is adorable!

Craigslist is really great for picking out new furniture. I'd be weary about a bed, but a couch would be good- just be cautious! It took me forever for me to convince my bf to get a new couch...they ARE so pricey!

I love to hear from you, and will do my best to respond to your comment! Please no spam :)
