Music for Baby

This is Pearl's tiny music collection.  She also has a kids & a classical Pandora station that Jeremy started for her to listen to.  I'm curious if any of you have albums you would recommend for children/babies?

I hope she takes an interest in music.  I have always regretted the fact that I didn't pick up any instruments as a child.  I kind of want her to be a drummer.  I keep reminding myself that it's her choice, but we did put artwork on her walls to inspire the budding musician inside of her.

  1. Lullaby renditions of journey? Yes please! I know what you mean about wanting to encourage Pearl to play an instrument. I don't regret playing sports, but I wish I'd had a chance to learn to play an instrument growing up.

  2. I also regret that I never learned an instrument, it's sad really because I love music! Enzo just this week realized that if he hits things together they make noise, like on purpose! Haha, so he's been banging everything together. I'm not going to be that excited if drums are his instrument of choice, but I won't discourage it either. I will just invest in earplugs! I think Pearl is going to be a singer! xoxo

  3. I wish I had some to recommend. But I will sure check out the ones you posted. My son is a little addicted to it will be kinda hard to play anything at this point, but its worth a try!
    Thanks for stoping by!

  4. Oliver has a Pirates of the Carribean Pandora station that he LOVES! mostly all sound track scores. For awhile it was Beethoven and his all time favorite song is what he has named the "Duh, Duh, Duh Song" Beethoven's 5th Symphony.
He also relly likes yo gabba gabba and Darude/electronic house music.

  5. My friends as the Rock a Bye Nirvana cd, such a great idea!

    I love her wall!

  7. there's totally a rock-a-bye baby jay-z. so weird. we listened to it at naptime at work and i just couldn't get over the lullaby version of "jigga what". lisa loeb does kids music. i loved her in the 90's. the songs i've heard were good, but i can't vouch for the entire album. i also heard a jazz "kids" cd today called "little nicky's jazz for kids". it's real jazz...ella & miles and the like, but their kid friendly songs. i liked it.

I love to hear from you, and will do my best to respond to your comment! Please no spam :)
