Weekly Recap

Last week, Pearl and I spent a lot of time together.  Jeremy was studying for the PE exam so Pearl and I were on our own.  We spent most of our time at home during the week.

On Thursday, Pearl and I finally got out of the house.  I drove down to Dallas (about 1.5 hours away) to visit my grandma Pearl with my parents.  She is living in a care facility now for people with Alzheimer's Disease.  It was sad when she had to move there, but she seems to really like it.  She also does a pretty good job of remembering who baby Pearl is.  I think it helps that they have the same name :)

Pearl also hung out in my studio while I did some sewing projects, but I mostly worked on them during her naps.

Jeremy had his exam on Friday.  Once he got home that night, I went to get takeout at his favorite local restaurant.  I think we all felt a sense of relief that the test was done.

Saturday was nice and sunny.  I finally got a baby break, too!  I went  Becca's surprise baby shower.  It was fun to chat with other women and not worry about Pearl for a few hours.  I needed that after this week!  That evening we also went over to a friend's house for a potluck and good conversation.

On Sunday, we walked to church (still sunny!), stopped at a garage sale on the way home, ate giant breakfast burritos, played games with Jeremy's parents, and had a short visit with my sister and her family.

The weekend was a much needed re-charge. I hope you all had a great one too!
