With the crib transition, some nights are good and others are pretty bad. I didn't get much sleep last night. Whether I am well rested or completely exhausted, I still feel so blessed. Being Pearl's mom is the most amazing thing I have done in my life so far. For a long time, I didn't want to have children. I was afraid they would mess up my career. She definitely did that, but in the best possible way. I'm so glad I get to spend this time with her and thank the Lord my thoughts were changed toward becoming a parent.
Happy Mother's Day to my mom, my sisters, and all of you other moms out there.
Happy first Mother's Day to all of my friends who are on this amazing learning curve with me. I have enjoyed learning it all alongside you ladies.

happy mother's day to you :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet picture of the two of you. Happy Mother's day!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day! Pearl is a lucky lady to have you for her mama!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently in that 'to have or not to have' when it comes to children, but mine's more on the 'umm, it'll wreck my bod' attitude. Things will stretch, sag, and require medical intervention to make new again. And I'm selfish. :)
ReplyDeleteAlthough your baby bib with the outline of Oregon may change that notion. The one bib that ruled them all...(sorry, LOTR reference..).
Oh, and your Portland Problems bit about 'wearing your baby' - reminds me of Maggie Gyllenhaal's character in Away We Go. I died when I saw her - mainly because I totally get that type of people...they're from Oregon. :D
I can't get over how precious this picture is! So happy that motherhood has been treating you so well Kira. Pearl is one lucky little girl!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mothers Day to you! You daughter is adorable and you are so very bleened!

Happy first Mother's Day to my amazing daughter. From day one you have impressed me with the way you have taken care of Pearl...since you had never even taken care of a baby before! I couldn't imagine life without our baby Pearl or seeing that look on your faces when you two look at each other. She sure loves her mommy! Hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteLove you
Mom
