We are on a little vacation this weekend with my side of the family. My sister sent me a text message Wednesday night telling us to bring swimsuits. Well, crap. The last time I bought a swimsuit was about 12 years ago and I was in high school. There was no way I was putting that bikini on post baby. Plus, who knows if it would even fit. I haven't put on a swimsuit in about five years. I bet those of you living in sunny places are currently thinking "how is that possible?" but it's pretty easy to go that long around here.
It became my mission yesterday to find swimsuits for both me and Pearl. I didn't have the ability to find a cute one online since I needed it the next day so we went around town. Pearl's was easy. I needed to go to Target anyway and they had the cutest little suit in the baby section. One down.
Then I headed home and googled all of the local stores I could think of to see what they had as options for me. I wanted a one piece that covered as much of my stretch marks as possible while not making me look like I totally gave up on life. Most of the one pieces I found were pretty serious "mom suits."
I finally came across Popina Swimwear online. They had a ton of suits that looked cute and fit my criteria. They were a little above what I wanted to spend, but when I only buy a swimsuit every 12 years I figured it wasn't too bad. So we got in the car and headed down to the NE location.
The store was amazing. I found a huge selection, a super helpful staff, and some of the nicest dressing rooms I have ever seen. They even offer you drinks while you try stuff on. Awesome.
I found the perfect swimsuit. I've never been excited about swimwear before this purchase. I highly recommend Popina.
