Celebrating

We celebrated the life of a hilariously talented lover of God and people on Saturday afternoon.  Brett was two years younger than me and although he died of tragic circumstances, the memorial was perfectly fitting for his life and exactly how he would have wanted it.  It was a fun celebration.  Brett enjoyed life so much and we all know that he is enjoying heaven even more now.  So many people told funny stories about how Brett impacted their lives and we got to watch his camp promotional videos.  I wish I could share the videos with you, but I can't find the ones from the service online yet.  This one is definitely worth watching though.
After the service, we headed straight to our friend Marcus' wedding to his bride Brianne.  We caught up with college friends, had a good time on the dance floor, and ate really good food. The wedding decor was beautiful.  It was set on a farm with horses and they even had hayrides for the kids! Pearl had her first photo booth experience and she absolutely hated it.  Jeremy put a big wig, glasses, and a fake mustache on while he was holing her.  She was convinced that he was no longer her daddy and it totally freaked her out.
It was a long day for Pearl, but I'm so glad we were able to make it work and attend both events.
