Portlander Problems #23

1. Removing the top of your Jeep when the weather is nice only to get stuck in the rain later that day. (this recently happened to someone I know twice in one week.)
2. Having to miss the Sigur Ros show last week at Edgefield.  Seeing my Instagram feed full of people who were there only made it worse.
3. Since it's rarely hot enough to warrant it, most of us don't have air conditioning.  No a/c mostly just sucks during this time of year.  My preferred methods of staying cool during the month of August at home include wet hair, rubbing ice cubes on myself, occasionally standing in front of the open freezer, and of course eating lots of ice cream.

If you live in the Portland area and want to share some of your own, I would love if you would submit your Portlander Problems to me.
I will post yours one of these coming weeks.  E-mail me at kiralynnpdx@gmail.com.

  1. Hehe! I've done the same thing, taking the top of the jeep or my old del sol. Then getting stormed on! Pearl is so beautiful by the way!

  2. Im sorry you had to miss Sugar Ros show but Im sure there will be others! I love to stand in front of open freezers. The cheepest way to do that is to go to a supermarket! Have a happy Tuesday and be sure to check out my giveaway ending very soon.

  5. I love finding fellow bloggers that live in the North West! My family and I just moved away from lovely Portland (moved back to Bellingham, WA) and I miss it!! This post surely made my laugh! And I heated the fact of now having an A/C, not that I have one right now...imagine going through a heat wave while in your third trimester...happened to me 2 years ago and it was awful!! Another way to keep fresh is to fill a bowl with tons of ice and blow a fan on them!! Cool air!
