Nursery Prints - DIY Gift

My sister Kacy is expecting a baby boy named Emery in February.  She is putting together a nursery and the main colors are grey, yellow, and white, with a few hints of turquoise.  My sister Kara came up with the idea to get Kacy nursery wall artwork for Christmas.  We couldn't find exactly what we were looking for and it seemed silly for us to spend the money on something when I could make her what we were picturing.
We chose two fun nursery quotes, one from Winnie the Pooh and the other from Love You Forever which is a book that somehow manages to creep me out, but also make me cry every time I read it to Pearl. Then we decided it would be fun to do a print with his first initial to match the others.
These are the final product which I created in Adobe Illustrator CS5:
We put them in turquoise frames for her nursery which I thought looked really cool.  I can't wait to see them up and on the wall in the finished room!
Would you be interested in the two quote prints if I offered them up as free printables next week?  Are there any additional color combos you would like to see available?

  1. Those are so adorable and so is your little princess! Shes growing up so fast!

  2. Yes put them up. Those are Gray's nursery colors too.

  3. Cute! Emery is a lucky little guy. I love that quote from Winnie the Pooh.

  4. Beautiful.
And the answer is 'Yes!' The color combo is beautiful. Just wonder... How this would look with orange instead of yellow?

  5. Love these!!! What a great idea! I am currently trying to plan our nursery and it is HARD to find the exact prints you want, I may need to get busy on photo shop!

  6. Beautiful, personalized prints - what a great idea!

  7. These are sooo cute and would totally work for an adult room as well :)

I nominated you for a Liebster award over on my blog!

  8. These are ABSOLUTELY adorable!!
