Less Laundry

Since Axel has been born, I'm pretty much doing child laundry (or dishes) during any spare moment I can find.  I guess I had pushed out of my mind how much laundry a baby creates.  He basically spits up and pees on everything.  Then add in Pearl's ability to get yogurt everywhere and I generally have a lot of work on my hands. It fills up the time I would like to spend on other things like making items for my Etsy shop or writing blog posts.
It has been really hot here lately.  And by really hot I mean high 80's to low 90's.  That's HOT for Oregon, okay?  Plus, we don't have A/C.  Our house has gotten pretty warm lately and on a few days has been quite uncomfortable.  In an attempt to keep the kids cool, they haven't been wearing any clothes besides the occasional swimsuit.  When we go out of the house I will dress them, but it's usually for just a few hours so Pearl has been able to re-use outfits.  I have been complaining a lot about the heat, but it does have one bonus.
So much less laundry!
I have only done one kid load of laundry in the last two weeks.  It's kind of amazing.  In fact, the only reason I have time to write this blog post about laundry is because I don't have laundry to do.
I'm just trying to think positively while dealing with this weather.
What are some other bonuses you can think of?
I need some more positivity in the midst of this heat.

  3. And that sweet baby skin in just a diaper really is the best anyway, so win/win :)

  4. Haha! I know exactly what you mean about laundry! Adding a second child seems to double the laundry! The cute baby bellys are a plus to beating the heat. ;)

  5. I so agree! Way less laundry here too. My 2 year old is stripping, diaper included, whenever I turn my back. It's been non-stop water playing!
