Screen Printing Class!

I took a screen printing class last week along with my friends Roxy and Erika.  Even though I went to school for apparel design, I have never had the opportunity to screen print and always wanted to learn.  We took a beginners class at The Make House here in Portland.  It was awesome.  I actually understand the process enough to burn my own screens and start printing one color designs.  He offers more advanced classes so I'm hoping to take one and learn more about printing designs in multiple colors.
We got to bring our own design to class and learn the process using our own work so we could print it at the end of class.  I knew I wanted to do something for the kids, but also thought about designs that people might like to buy if I decided to do that.  Out of my three initial designs, I decided last minute to go with this one for class.  It turned out great!
My friends and I are gathering supplies and are hoping to burn some screens next month.  I'm hoping to get a few designs (including this one) up in my shop sometime down the road.  I would love to have them available for holiday shopping, but I start my first freelance job post-Axel in November (yay!) and I'm not sure I will have much time for the shop.  We'll see how it goes!

    1. Thanks Yvonne. We used his screens so I didn't get to keep mine. If I would have thought about it ahead of time, I would have brought my own.
