Weekend Snowshoeing

Jeremy and I decided to gift each other with snowshoes this year for Christmas.  Since we got them early, we went up to White River Canyon on Mt. Hood to test them out this weekend.  It was a really fun kids free outing.  Jeremy even planned a picnic!
It was a short trip, but I'm still pretty sore today.  I appreciate that snowshoeing is a winter outdoor activity that you really need no special skills or tons of  money to do.  I'm excited to use them more this winter.

  4. Snowshoeing seems like hiking but with weighted shoes so its a harder workout than it appears! I love it as it helps you get to great winter scenery and the quiet is serene and calming

  6. Do they just make walking in snow easier basically? That is not a thing around here...gonna have to google it. Haha! Fun that you have something you both enjoy doing and great that you got away together for a bit!

  7. That's awesome! Joel and I actually really want to get into snowshoeing, we've never been before. I think we may go later this month, heard there are lots of places to rent them. Still haven't been to Mt. Hood yet!
