Love Your Neighbor in 2014

I made this simple print to put up in my house as a reminder.  Sadly, many of the loudest Christians in our society seem to forget one of the most easily understandable and important commandments.  Jesus laid out the importance of loving people pretty clearly:

Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” - Matthew 22:34-39

Whether you follow Christ or not, I believe these three words are a simple reminder of a healthy way to live.  Let's love our neighbors more this year.

P.S. The free printable can be found here if you would like one too.  There are six color options.  They are set up to print on 8.5x11 and have a cut line for your to fit into an 8x10 frame.

  1. Kira...I love this!! Such a good reminder and such a simple command, but so powerful when we do it!

  2. Cute printable! A wonderful quote; it makes me think about my community and who I consider close to me as well as reminds me to be compassionate.

  3. Yes! It's always so disheartening when those who claim to follow Christ don't love their neighbors the way he did and the way he commanded. What a great reminder!

  4. Love this!!! And cut line = awesome! Thanks!

  5. So great and I think it's always good to remember to be nice to people especially the crazy neighbors.

I love to hear from you, and will do my best to respond to your comment! Please no spam :)
