Jewelry Box

Last week my sister-in-law's house was broken into.  They don't live far from us.  One of the things that was stolen was her jewelry box.  Just the thought of having mine stolen freaked me out so I found a really good hiding place.  The lame part is that I now have to go into the hiding place and get it out every time I need something from it.  It holds nothing expensive as far as I know, but I keep every single thing of sentimental value I own in that box.

I keep bracelets from my Grandma Nell, Grandma Pearl, and one from my mother that they all wore when they were younger.

I have a necklace that my grandma Pearl had engraved with my and Kara's names when we were born.

And, I have the beads from an old friendship bracelet my best friend Sokhak gave me a couple of years before he died.
I would be devastated to lose any of these things.  So, I will keep my ridiculous hiding place and hope that any thieves go for the Nintendo Wii instead.

I really hope that Carolyn's things are found!

  1. oh my gosh, that's awful! I have to be more mindful, and find a good hiding place I guess! although, my stuff doesn't really have any value, monetary or sentimental... well, i guess there are a couple pieces. Yours are very special! You have the coolest Grandmas! So stylish, just like you!
