Our tree is almost finished. All I have left is to find a tree topper. I'm not sure what I want to get though. Most people I knew as a kid had an angel. We had a teddy bear holding balloons. I don't think I want either of those.
I also made a little orange wreath. It was inspired by the large green wreath Lauren made. It was so cute and easy I decided to make one for myself.
The last thing we need is stockings to put over the fireplace. I want chunky cable knit stockings. Hopefully I can find them. If you have ideas on where to look that would be great. So far I have had no luck.
Christmas spirit is pretty fun!

i wonder if you can find the socks at REI? or maybe an army surplus store?
ReplyDeleteoh...and your tree and wreath look ridiculously cute!
Lauren, I was looking specifically at places that sell Christmas decorations for stockings, but I wonder if big wooly men's socks would work for that purpose. Thanks for the idea! I found someone on etsy who makes stockings with adorable felt creatures on them. I'm seeing if she can do custom ones that look like my dogs!
ReplyDeleteI love the yarn on your tree! Such a creative touch :)
ReplyDeleteIt turned out so so cute! Hooray for your first tree!
ReplyDeletelooks great Kira, I think we will start our decorating soon. I need to clean the house before I bring more stuff in.

Thanks Megan! I had fun making the finger knit chains for the tree.
ReplyDeleteBecca, hooray indeed! I'm just a little concerned it's going to die and turn brown before Christmas somehow.
Kara, thanks! I definitely did not clean my house before putting up the decorations :)
Looks great! Definitely love the finger knit garland! I can't wait to decorate our house this weekend!
