Weekend with friends

This weekend I was barely at home.  It wasn't a stressful busy weekend though.  I just had a ton of fun things to do!
On Saturday I went to Crafty Wonderland with Kelli, Becca, and Lauren.
I finally bought artwork from Berkley Illustration there.  It was really hard to choose.  I ended up picking the Sea Otter after much deliberation.
There were a ton of great vendors and so many pretty things to look at!

Saturday night Jeremy and I went to see The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader with a group of friends.  It was very different from the book, but still entertaining.  I enjoyed it, but it made me appreciate the book even more.  C.S. Lewis is amazing.  I did not read the entire series until high school, but I'm excited to read them to my kids someday.

Sunday was our friend Greg's birthday.  His lovely wife Megan invited us to a lunch celebration with friends and family in Salem.  Greg is hilarious and was one of my closest friends in college.  I wish they lived in Portland so we could hang out more often.
Greg and Jeremy probably causing trouble at Emily's wedding a few years back

I went out to dinner Sunday night with my "cluster." These three ladies and I meet a few times a month to talk and pray with one another.  It has been great to have them in my life.  We went to Chez Machin on Hawthorne.  If you live in or near Portland you must go there.  The crepes are absolutely fantastic, the prices are reasonable, and the waitress was very kind.  I was also excited because they had a great menu of non-alcoholic drinks since I don't really like alcohol all that much.  I ordered hot apple cider and it was delicious.  It was just a wonderful place.  I plan to take the husband there soon.

I'm hoping to get my second homemade Christmas gift project posted on the blog tomorrow night so check back to see it!

  2. Sounds like a great weekend! We have been so busy too, but when it's a bunch of Christmasy stuff it's totally the GOOD kind of stress!
