This is little me. I've always felt younger than I am, hence the pacifier.
This morning I woke up at 6am and got ready for the day. I started my car and drove my regular morning commute to work. I got stuck in traffic. Eventually I made it, walked into the building, and sat down at my cubicle. As I was turning on the computer it hit me...I'm a grown up. I'm not sure when it happened exactly, and I can say for certain that I do not feel like an adult, but I definitely am one. The thought of that kind of blew my mind today. It sounds silly, but it's true.
Dear other grown up friends,
Do you feel like an adult? If so, when did it happen? Was there a certain milestone that really did it for you? Getting married? Having a child? Did turning a certain age do it? I'm really pretty curious about that.

P.S. You can see little Jeremy here as well.

I am not really sure, its weird cuz I don't really feel like one. I remember when I was in the hospital having Maleah I felt like everyone there thought I was to young to have a kid. Weird thing is I had been married for three years and was not as young as I felt. Maybe when I turn thirty? I will let you know.
ReplyDeletei totally had a moment like that. it was actually when craig and i were road tripping to whistler for our honeymoon. we stopped at some drive thru and as we pulled out i fixed craig's hamburger for him (i.e. fixed the wrapper and added ketchup so he could eat while driving). all of a sudden i stopped and was like...."whoa. we're real grown ups. my mom always did that for my dad on road trips and now i'm doing it for you!" it sounds weird and random, but it's totally true.
