Over the weekend we did a lot of fun things including visiting my parents, going out to lunch with new church friends, and attending little Blake's first birthday party. A weekend task I was dreading was going through my old college computer and getting all of the pictures and documents I wanted to keep so that I could give the computer to my sister. I thought it was going to be tedious and annoying. It actually wasn't that bad. It didn't take nearly as long as I had thought and I had fun going back through that old stuff.
My favorite find was an album of photos I took of our dog Roxy on the day Jeremy picked her up. We were not even dating back then, just friends, but I happened to go on the trip with him and his dad to get her. I picked her out and held onto her while Jeremy went to fill out his paperwork. There were some little girls eying her, but there was no way I was letting go of that dog. I knew Roxy and I were meant to be from the start. I didn't know at the time that I would end up being her step-mom of sorts, but the moment I laid eyes on her, I knew she was leaving that place with me.
Wasn't she adorable? If you are wondering her breed, we call her our "Australian Puglador". She is a black lab, Australian Shepard, and pug mix. Roxy is five years old now and still the sweetest girl. I'm so happy I was able to pick her out on that day.
