At the dinner, we hung out on the roof of the building one of her bridesmaids lives in downtown. It had a really great view of the city. It was also just a couple of blocks from Jeld-Wen Field where the Portland Timbers play. There was a game that night and we could hear the fans cheering and singing from the rooftop. I thought it was pretty cool.
View from the rooftop
It was super windy on the roof. All of Kacy's friends looked adorable with their hair all curled. They apparently use miracle hairspray (a handful of them are hairstylists) so all of their hair looked perfect the whole time. Mine didn't fare so well. I don't know how to curl it anyway so it remained pretty straight and eventually really tangled. Also, the front of my shirt kept blowing up in the wind. I pretty much said all of that just so I have excuses as to why I don't look great in this photo:I had to get at least one photo with the bride-to-be though! I can't believe my little baby sister is getting married. I feel like she just graduated from high school, but apparently that was five years ago. Yikes. I'm feeling old.

Oh Kira you look great in that picture! And I don't blame you for sitting the crazy part out...that's how us old folk roll. :)
ReplyDeletehey kira, what a lovely photo of you and your sister. i'm like you i never really knew how to party a lot either and would really bail before that all got started. sometimes i feel like i missed out but then i think it isn't me and i would be trying to force myself to be someone i'm not. when is your sister's wedding?
ReplyDeleteMy baby sister just turned 18 and constantly tells me, "I feel so old - no offence Andrea." How rude!

that roof view is super cool, and I must admit that I would have done the same thing you did. I'm sure you had a great time, thanks for sharing!

Haha. With most of our friends still single and living the city life, we just have to laugh as I'm waddling around trying to keep up:-) We went out to a late late dinner with a big group, and I had to lay down in the car before our food came. Whatever works!
ReplyDeleteP.S. You look beautiful! xoxo
