Our friends Frank and Medina were married on Saturday at Flushing Town Hall in Queens. Jeremy had the honor of being one of the groomsmen. The wedding party was a fun group and it was great to meet all of their friends.
The wedding was the perfect celebration to join these two in marriage. There were readings from the Bible and the Qur'an, awesome Afghan wedding traditions performed (including a dance by Medina's family), great live musical performances, amazing food, and a lot of love.
Pearl had the best time. She stayed up until 2am and it was a fight to get her to sleep. That baby just wanted to party. The picture directly below is of her making her way to the dance floor. Both of the musical performers commented on how much they enjoyed seeing Pearl out there dancing.
We are so glad we were able to travel to the wedding and I'm excited to see bits of it again on TV in a few months. It was filmed for the show Four Weddings on TLC!

Isn't it amazing what babies will do? I went to a wedding a few years ago with my son, who was 7 at the time. When he got tired, he grabbed his coat and mine, and curled up in the corner by the wall, out of the way of everyone else, and went to sleep.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Pearl had fun. :) And the wedding will be on TV? That's so fun!
