I am Thankful For...Free Thanksgiving Printables

I was planning to go buy diapers this afternoon, but the weather is really terrible so I chose to stay inside.  I have shamefully already started my Christmas crafting even before celebrating Thanksgiving later this week.  I did have a fun idea for little "I am thankful for" cards that Pearl could hand out at dinner.  This seemed like the best time to put them together.  The diapers can wait until tomorrow (no later though because our stock is low!).

Once I finished putting them together, Pearl had a good time telling me why she was thankful for all of her cousins.  I'm excited to hear her reasons for the rest of the family.  These would also be great to use as place cards if you were fancy enough to have assigned seating at your meal.

I thought I would share the "I am thankful for" cards with all of you here as free printables.  It is a fun activity to do with your kids and you might be surprised by what they say!  Please comment if you use them.  I would love to hear why your kids are thankful for their family members.

Thanksgiving Recap

On Thanksgiving we had dinner with Jeremy's side of the family.  There was tons of good food and fun time spent with the family.  Most of the group played a hilarious round of Mad Gab that had the whole house laughing.  Pearl also got to meet Jeremy's aunt and cousins for the first time.

 With all of the things I felt necessary to pack for Pearl that day, I forgot the camera.  We ended up with one cell phone photo of Pearl.  That's it.  Cute dress though, right?

On Friday, we had Thanksgiving with my side of the family.  Again, we had amazing food and fun family time.

 Pearl met her great grandma Nell and great grandpa Jack for the first time and spent some more time with her great grandma Pearl as well.

Maleah and Pearl put on matching dresses for the dinner.  We took photos of the three cousins together.  Maleah and Rowdy both got to hold her.  They were both very careful, it was so sweet.

So Thankful

Jeremy and I are so thankful that the Lord blessed us with this sweet, healthy little girl.

We're pretty excited for family dinners on Thursday and Friday.  Pearl will get to meet some of her extended family on both sides for the first time. It should be a really fun holiday for us!

Friends Thanksgiving

 Our friends A.J. and Safiyah invited us to their annual "Friends Thanksgiving" dinner on Sunday.  There were so many people and so much food!  I was a little nervous about going since I don't know many of their friends, but we had a great time and it was fun to see all of the other babies and children in attendance.  There was a two week old baby at the party and Pearl looked huge in comparison to her!  Our little girl is growing up so fast.

Thankfulness

Since it's Thanksgiving I figured I would do an "I'm thankful for" blog along with everyone else out there.  I've tried to think of cool and/or unique things that I am thankful for, but what it really boils down to is probably the most cliche answer.  Family.  I'm thankful for all of them...
My heavenly Father.
My eldest family members.

The youngest.

The parents.

The sisters.

The husband.

The awesome family that came along with him.

The furry ones.

And, the rest of my extended family...my brother-in-law Tyler, Grandpa Jack, Grandpa Vern who isn't with us anymore, aunts, cousins, second cousins...I couldn't seem to find a photo of all of you.  Weird.
My family is the coolest.
