1 Year Pearl and Axel

They were both so desperate to get the party hat off.  I gave up on the hat with Pearl.  I managed to get a few decent photos with Axel in it though.  It's probably because my baby wrangling skills are more refined now.  Also, the fact that I still had that homemade paper hat 20 months later is proof that I am a hoarder.

11 Months Pearl and Axel

I was pregnant with Axel when Pearl was 11 months old.  I guess I'm behind schedule if we are going to have a third kid because I'm definitely not pregnant now.  Looking at photos of my cute, silly babies almost makes me feel ready for another one.  Maybe if Axel would just sleep through the night.

We ended up with such adorable baldies.  I love that they are making similar faces in these photos too!

6 Months Pearl and Axel

This is what both of our kids looked like at the half year point.

Apparently they learned how to manhandle a stuffed animal at the same time.

5 Months Pearl and Axel

This is both of the kids at 5 months.

I love looking at these comparison photos.  They have such different smiles.  Pearl's smile is small and sweet, but Axel's is huge!  Their serious faces in the bottom photos are kind of similar although Axel's is way more intense.  And look at Pearl's chubby cheeks!  These kids make me so happy.

4 Months - Pearl and Axel

This is both Pearl and Axel at 4 months old!

Both of them have massive bald heads.  Pearl's head was in the 97% for size and Axel's is in the 100% range.  I don't fully understand what that means except that they both have large heads.

Pearl weighed 15 lbs 2.5 oz and Axel weighs 16 lbs.

Pearl was 24.75" long and Axel is 25".

3 Months - Pearl and Axel

This is Pearl and Axel both at three months old.  Pearl's three month photos always crack me up when I look at them.  She got so chunky that month.  Axel definitely hasn't matched that chunk factor yet, but he is taller than she was.  I also think they look a bit more alike in these photos than they did last month.  They kind of have a similar frown expression in the first photos anyway.

 I really love seeing them side by side like this!

I also wish that chair wasn't in such a strangely lit location now.  There are so many more shadows on Axel's face.  Maybe I will move the chair for photos next month.

2 Months - Pearl and Axel

This is Pearl and Axel both at two months old.  I thought it would be fun to start doing side by side comparisons each month in order to see all of their similarities and differences.

Length at two months:

Pearl - 22.5"

Axel - 23"

Weight at two months:

Pearl -12 lbs 5.5 oz

Axel - 12 lbs 11 oz

Two similarities I notice are their similar body shape and large heads!

Some obvious differences are Axel has lighter eyes, skin, and hair.  He definitely takes more after me in those areas.  I wonder if his eyes will stay blue.  What do you notice?
