Our favorite guy turned two last weekend!
As you may know by now, I tend to go a little overboard with birthday party decorations. I actually didn't do that this time. As fate would have it, our church planned a "community fest" on the day of Axel's party. Since it was literally going to be down the street and would have fun kids activities, we opted to take the party there.
Our family arrived at 11 am that morning. We had some snacks, Axel opened presents, and then he made a giant mess of his cupcake. After cleaning him up, we all headed out to the festival. The kids jumped in a bounce house, had their faces painted, and played soccer. Axel was so exhausted by the end of the party that he collapsed into his cousin Maleah's arms. It was the sweetest thing.
We had so much fun celebrating our sweet guy and I hope more events like that coincide with birthdays in the future. It was so easy!
