Baby Sleep

This girl likes to spread out.
Pearl will happily sleep anywhere during the day, but we are still working on getting her to sleep in the co-sleeper at night.  She is generally wide awake from 9pm to 3 or 4am.  She seems to hate swaddles, laying on her back, and her co-sleeper.  I've given up on trying to swaddle her hands in at bed time.
I can proudly say we had a nice chunk of sleep from about 3am-7:45am this morning.  It felt wonderful.  I hope it's a sign of things to come.  I would like her to go to sleep before 3am though.  That would be nice.

Strawberry Pants

This pregnancy is starting to take its toll.  It's really difficult to sleep these days due to the fact that I constantly have to get up to use the restroom and I am having a heck of a time getting comfortable enough to sleep in between those times.  I get up every hour and a half in the middle of the night.

I was especially tired this morning.  I quickly grabbed clothing out of the dryer prior to my shower.  Afterward, I was trying to get dresses and realized something wasn't quite right.

Yes, I thought the below strawberry pants were my underwear when I pulled them out of the dryer.  It didn't take long for me to figure out that they were in fact not the article of clothing I thought they were.
Maybe the baby and I shouldn't share loads of laundry.  Or maybe I should try harder to get more sleep.

A Coaster Story

Just a quick story about losing my mind...

In the middle of the night I woke up to get a drink of water.  I grabbed my glass from the side table and took a drink.  As I went to set it back down on the coaster I realized something was wrong.  My coaster kept lighting up.  Ugh, so annoying, I'm just trying to go to sleep and my coaster keeps lighting up.  I tried setting my glass down lightly then picked up my coaster and pushed a bunch of buttons to turn the light off.

At this point you probably realize this is a pretty intense coaster, but I didn't think about the fact that my coasters do not light up at the time.  I just needed it to stop so I could go back to sleep.

When I woke up this morning I looked over and noticed my water glass balancing on my cell phone.  I immediately remembered my struggles with that dang light up coaster last night which apparently turned out to be my phone.  I'm glad the water didn't spill.

That is my story.
