The best video game ever is The Oregon Trail. When I was a kid we would get an hour for "computer class" which just consisted of our class going into the lab full of Apple computers (which look completely ancient now) to play games. I thought the best part of the game was to put the names of the mean boys in my travel party. I would have a little giggle if they ended up with dysentery or a snakebite.
I heard yesterday that a new version of The Oregon Trail game is going to be on Facebook. I have never played a game on Facebook before and I hope to not get sucked into it, but I could see this happening to me. After I found this out I got all nostalgic and started looking up the old game. Apparently you can get the old version here and play it for free! This is exciting news.
Have a great weekend!

Things Jeremy Says While Playing Video Games
Jeremy and his brother-in-law Ben were playing 'Smash Bros.' on the Wii today. I sat down in the living room with my laptop for about 15 minutes and typed out all of the things he said. It's pretty funny what comes out of his mouth when he is playing video games. They don't really converse while playing. They just say one liners that have to do with the game every once in a while. Below is the text:
I enjoyed that. I bet it could even be funnier depending on the game. He's going to love this.

"There is a wizard!"
"Should we bump one up to nasty?"
"You know, I tried to save you but you kept reconstituting above the hole."
"Watch out for the spikes cuz they will kill you automatically."
"You really walked right into that one, didn’t you."
"Oh, you’re under the rock. It was a rock floor!"
"Man, he likes you!"
"Oh, I really delivered on this one."
"You really stretched that out there, didn’t ya?"
"Apparently we can just totally destroy floors."
"Ok, I’m out! Seriously, I died."
"He’s got my tornado figured out."
"Whatever, I found a rock. Smoke bomb!"
"Oh, this one’s just anarchy. I thought I liked it until everything started blowing up."
"Come on, they’re double teaming me here Ben!"
"Why do I still have this stupid flower?"
"It seems pretty epic."
"Oh my gosh, something pretty epic just happened. Ok, they’re both pretty ripe here."
"We lost the ground!"
"He’s kind of a squirrelly guy for a gorilla."
"Apples!"
"I disappeared, I told you."
"I’m huge!"
"Pretty small level for some pretty big guys."
"Never thought I would see Bowser with a light saber."
"Ok, Bowser doesn’t fly very well it turns out."
"I like this fire breathing thing. It works really well when they’re hanging off the ledge."

"I’m giving this Bowser business another shot. I like his power. I like what he brings to the table."
"Something happened to that hamburger down there and I don't want to know what it is."
