Procrastination

I'm glad I was productive and cleaned the house yesterday.  Today the main thing I needed to check off of my list was to go to Safeway.  I hate grocery shopping.  So, I spent most of the day procrastinating.  I mostly sat/laid on the couch and watched NBA playoff games.  I also watched the Timbers game.  The dogs were more than happy to join me.
Syd fell asleep on my neck during the New Orleans-Los Angeles game.  I guess she doesn't like to watch the Lakers lose as much as I do.

I'm getting good at yelling GOOOOOAL really loud when the Timbers score.  Jeremy was doing homework in the office so I had to yell for him to get in here to see the replay.  Since he is too busy to watch sports right now it's a good thing he has a wife to keep him up on these things.

Anyway, that was my weekend in a nutshell.  Not as exciting as most of yours I assume.  Oh, and I did eventually go to the grocery store.

Pinterest and the Timbers

I joined Pinterest yesterday.  I haven't had a lot of time to play around with it yet, but I can definitely see it becoming an obsession.  Let me know if you have it so I can follow you!

You can follow me here.  I have a couple of invites left.  If you want one, send me an e-mail!

Also, completely unrelated...the Portland Timbers had their first home game as an MLS franchise on Thursday night.  We watched it on ESPN2 and Jeremy and I are definitely Timbers fans now.  It was so much more fun to watch than I expected and the Timbers Army is just really fun.  I love Portland and the people who live here.  Check out this video of the Timbers Army singing the National Anthem Thursday night.

Also, check out my post on the Timbers Ad Campaign if you haven't seen it yet.

Portland Timbers Ad Campaign

I'm not much of a soccer fan, but I want to be.  The Portland Timbers will soon be playing their first season as an MLS franchise, and they are ramping up their advertising.  I think it's one of the coolest ad campaigns I have seen in some time.

Their billboards feature local Timbers fans holding saws, axes, and chainsaws while wearing their game faces.  To me, it looks like a very "Portland" campaign, and I think it even resonates with those of us who have never been to a Timbers game.  The fans look like fun people so I have a hunch the games are pretty fun, too.  The Timbers website has a post about the campaign as well as profiles on some of their fans turned models here.
You can view the rest of the photos on Lisa's Flickr page.  She was nice enough to let me share a few with you.  If you are interested on where they are placed around the city she has the location called out with each photo.

Jeremy and I are going to check out a few games this coming season. I'm excited!
