Denver Trip Post #2 Christmas Meals

Jeremy and I flew into Denver on the morning of Christmas Day.  We were hungry when we arrived, but hardly anything was open.  I felt like we were driving around forever looking for an open restaurant and I was getting pretty cranky.  We eventually found a Denny's that was packed full of people. I ate some sort of breakfast burrito for Christmas lunch.
Then we took a nap.  For four hours.  Oops.  It was an early flight, ok.  After that we watched college football in our hotel room for a bit and then it was time for dinner.
For dinner we really wanted to do Chinese food like they have in "A Christmas Story."  Apparently authentic Chinese restaurants are not as reliable as we thought and we couldn't find an open one.  Panda Express was open though so we ended up having a fast food Chinese dinner.
We shared.
After dinner we felt like a dessert was in order because it was Christmas after all.  We ended up sitting in our car at Sonic across the street from Panda Express.  Jeremy had a chocolate milkshake and I had a chocolate and banana sundae.

Denver has really fantastic restaurants so it was a bit of a shame that our first few meals were all fast food, but we made the best of the situation and had fun together that day.
This is officially our 2010 Christmas picture.  It's the only one we took of ourselves that day while sitting in an empty Panda Express.

Christmas gift wrap

I like pretty, simple things.  I also like funny things.  Those two combined make our gift wrap for the season.  Two years ago I made our gift tags by taking an image of Will Ferrell in "Elf" and replacing his face with Jeremy's.  See Jeremy as Buddy the Elf here.  This year I decided to go with a similar concept, but I picked an image of Ralphie in "A Christmas Story".  I personally think it's hilarious.  If you don't get our humor then that's just too dang bad!
Jeremy drew an elephant on his white elephant gift.  I thought it was a pretty cute elephant.
Oh, and before I forget...Merry Christmas!  We did pretty much all of our family celebrations yesterday.
